A Day in the Life

The purpose of this project was to demonstrate a basic understanding of different types of shot sizes and angles, as well as how they are used as an element of storytelling and world building. As a solo project and my first short film as a student at Cal State LA, I went above and beyond what was asked of the prompt in order to see those fundamental principles of filmmaking in action. What was meant to be a simple checklist of shot types became a short story featuring a member of my collection of marionette dolls and a recurring subject in some of my following school projects, The Clown.
